THANK YOU COLUMBIA RECORDS

Today marks my final day at Columbia Records.

When I walked into the building 6 years ago, I was fresh off working in advertising, mid-way through my master's degree, and excited that I had just landed a job in the music industry. I didn't know what to expect. I just knew I made it.

Fast forward to now, and a few things have happened. For one, I've done a lot. I worked with Tyler, The Creator, Pharrell, Beyoncé (that one time ha, gotta clout chase), Central Cee, Chloe x Halle, Leon Bridges, Tyga, YG, Q, Fivio Foreign (free Fivi), Lil Tjay, Polo G & the list goes on. I got an artist signed; I traveled to Jamaica, London & LA is like a second home now. I directed documentaries, produced music videos, designed creative for album campaigns, sequenced albums, and executed amazing digital marketing campaigns.

I loved every moment of it. No matter the ups or the downs, late nights, hits, misses, narratives, viral moments, days where you feel like nothing is working, or when everything went as planned. Working in music is still a blessing. We sell art for a living, and while that can be hard these days due to many things, it's something that most of us who work at labels love to do.

Thank you to all of the managers who've trusted the vision. Thank you to the digital team for holding me down all these years. Thank you to the entire staff for embracing me, and most importantly, thank you to all of the artists who've allowed me to play a part in their careers.
