POLO G IS CHICAGO'S NEW "RAPSTAR"

Polo G's rise to become one of the biggest streaming hip-hop artists has been spectacular. While he succeeded with his previous two albums, the third time around, he was looking to set the tone. "Rapstar" was officially released in April of 2021 and was announced as the first single from Polo G's third album, Hall of Fame. Polo’s strategy was simple: position himself as one of the biggest rap stars by amplifying the song and lifestyle content. 

The song debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, marking Polo G's first number one. The official music video, released simultaneously with the song, now has over 205 million views on YouTube, making it one of Polo's most popular videos. 

The success of "RAPSTAR" demonstrates a perfect combination of teasing, social media virality, and great creative. Polo G's collaboration with Einer in the initial teaser generated hype and anticipation for the song, setting the stage for its overwhelming reception. As a result, the perfect foundation was set for Polo G's third album Hall of Fame.
