B.I.B.L.E.
THE GOSPEL OF FIVIO FOREIGN
I mite juss letchu meet Ye..
- Fivio Foreign
It is rare for a single collaboration to transform a rising artist into a global music sensation. For Fivio Foreign, a drill artist from New York City, whose debut album B.I.B.L.E. catapulted him to heights unseen in his career, this was the case. The seed of this success can be traced to his impressive feature on Kanye West's "Off The Grid" from his 2021 album, Donda.
Fivio and Kanye connected in 2021, shortly after his release from jail. The two began working together, which resulted in Fivio landing a feature on what Complex called the "2021 Song of the Year." Fivio's verse on "Off The Grid" grabbed the attention of fans worldwide and solidified his bond with Ye.
As the Donda listening sessions ended, Fivio and Ye were locked in working together on the first song off Fivio's debut album B.I.B.L.E., a track titled "City of Gods."
It was clear from the jump that "City of Gods" was destined for success. Alicia Keys was on the hook, Ye and Fivio dropped great verses, and fans even called the song "Off The Grid Pt. 2" during its early leaks. Its debut within the top 50 on the Billboard Hot 100 was a testament to Fivio and the team's work.
B.I.B.L.E., an acronym for "Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth," proved that Fivio Foreign could stand outside the shadow of the late Pop Smoke and deliver an album that tells the story of the duality between success, fame, and one's ties to the hood. To aid in telling this story, we released a documentary covering the album's making.
We rolled out multiple music videos alongside three album teasers, revealing the release date, features, tracklist, and new music. These teasers doubled as trailers for the documentary.
The team's efforts with B.I.B.L.E. led to a top 10 debut on the Billboard 200. This was a significant accomplishment for us and solidified Fivio's position as the most prominent drill artist in New York City.
The rise of Fivio Foreign is proof of his talent, hard work, faith, and perseverance. From delivering an unforgettable verse on "Off The Grid" to creating a Billboard chart-topping album, he has proven to be a voice in the drill scene, New York City rap, and beyond.
