ANGEL

HALLE BAILEY IS AN ANGEL

After the success of Ungodly Hour, Chlöe and Halle became cultural superstars; their performances and voices captivated the world, and fans only wanted more. However, in the middle of this ascension to stardom, Halle received the opportunity of a lifetime to play Ariel in the live-action version of The Little Mermaid.

Playing the role of Ariel, however, came with controversy. The backlash was intense as the first black Disney princess, but so was the support. She received endless praise from her peers and fans, and when the movie hit theaters, the world was captivated by Halle. But she still had something to say to the doubters who thought that her playing Ariel wasn't the way to go, and with that, her debut single, "Angel," was born.

The rollout for "Angel" was short and straightforward. Halle only teased the record a few times before its release, rolling out two trailers that showed the early seconds of the song.

We used this cryptic teasing to build hype into the official video release while simultaneously launching a Discord where we fed fans exclusive content leading into the launch.

As the clock edged closer to midnight, we kept fans excited through activations online, including a custom hashmoji and IG live watch party. By the end of the night, Halle was trending #1 on Twitter, and within less than 24 hours, the official video had surpassed more than 1 million views on YouTube and entered the top 10 on the iTunes charts

Halle's solo journey is just getting started, she's already done so much, and the whole world is waiting to see what she does next. She's an angel to so many young girls who have watched her grow, and our only goal is to ensure she keeps flying high.
